Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventers

Standard RPZ Backflow Preventer. Supply pressures to 175 PSI. Water temperatures to 180 Deg. F.

  • (2) in-line, independent check valves with an intermediate relief valve
  • Ball type test cocks
  • (2) Quarter-turn, full port, resilient seated bronze ball valve shutoffs
  • Modular construction
  • Renewable seats
  • Available with or without bronze strainer.

 

The 009QT Series comes standard with a flood sensor. Sensor activation kit must be purchased if this feature is desired.

 

Strainer Not Included on QT models: use Watts strainers to permit interchange from QT to QTS style.

RPZ Backflow Preventers for prevention of back siphonage and back pressure of contaminated water into safe water supplies in accordance with national plumbing codes and water utility authority requirements.

Required by many states for use in fertilizer, chemical and industrial plants to protect safe water supplies from chemical contamination. Designed for high hazard cross connections in plumbing systems or for containment at the service line entrance.
