GX390 Series • Standard Engine

Honda GX engines are among the most powerful, most reliable, and highest performing engines available for a multitude of applications ranging from commercial pressure washers and lawn care equipment to agricultural equipment and water pumps. The Honda GX390 engine is Honda's largest single cylinder industrial engine. Engines include all standard Honda components plus a CDI ignition with electric advance, oil alert feature, and automatic decompression release. Fuel tanks are 6.4 quarts.

Model GX390K1QAE electric start engine features a 12-volt starter and 3-amp charging system. (18-amp alternator also available.)

Honda's superior four-stroke technology includes:

  • Cast Iron cylinders
  • Ball bearing supported forged crankshaft
  • Chrome top piston ring
  • Mechanical governor
  • Fixed jet float type carburetor
  • Replaceable valve guides and automatic decompression for easy starting
  • "Oil Alert" system which shuts down the engine if oil supply reaches an unsafe level
  • Transistorized ignition systems on all except 11 & 13 HP models which have CDI systems with Electronic Advance.

OIL ALERT™ SYSTEM
Honda's Oil Alert™ System offers added protection for your Honda engine. It shuts off the engine automatically before the oil level in the crankcase falls below the safe limit.
