Loctite 567 high-temperature thread sealant is the best thread sealer for stainless steel and other metal fittings. This Loctite thread sealer will stop gas and fluid leaks on all metals, including stainless, forged, galvanized, iron, cast, copper, and brass. Loctite 567 can be used for most liquid applications on industrial acids, solvents, chemicals, gases, and steam.

The thread sealer—an off-white methacrylate ester resin—is temperature rated from -65° F to 400° F and is rated to 1,000 PSI. However, laboratory tests on 1/2" NPT fittings with Loctite threadlocker applied have been proven leak-free up to 10,000 PSI. Cure time of Loctite 567 pipe thread sealer for 1" fittings is 4 hours at 60° F. To accelerate the cure time, you must use Locquick Primer N764 at low temperatures or larger diameters. Locquick primer not recommended on stainless components.
